Dearest APC Family and friends,
Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:
for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Over the last few weeks there have been a many changes taking place in our community and country. As a result of the presence of the COVID-19 (Corona Virus) there have been many people concerned and even some who are very frightened of what is happening around us.
As we hear reports of government officials shutting down travel, especially internationally, and placing limitations on the number of people who are allowed to gather together, it can be difficult to know what we need to do.
Due to significantly increasing rates of COVID-19 in Santa Clara County, the County’s Public Health Department is taking further steps to protect the health of our community and slow the spread of the virus. Currently, Santa Clara county has restricted public gatherings and directing all individuals living in the County to shelter at their place of residence and prohibiting all non-essential gatherings of any number of individuals.
Given the above to ensure safety and security for each of you, we have decided to suspend all APC worship services until April 12, 2020. We will continue to communicate with you and update you of any changes if the situation changes.
I believe that it is God's will for APC to continue to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we will conduct our Sunday Worship Services, Thursday and Friday night Bible Studies via Live Stream. More information will be posted on www.APCSJ.org and APC Facebook page @APCSJ.
If you are experiencing cold or flu like symptoms, it would be best if you remain at home. If you are among those who are in the higher risk category due to compromised immune systems, or sensitivity to respiratory infections, it would probably be best if you stay home and do what you can to protect your health and the health of those around you.
It is important to be sure to wash your hands to protect from the spreading of any germs. Greeting one another from more of a distance or with minimal contact can aid in protecting all of those around us. Lord willing, in a few weeks, we will return back to normal.
13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
In His Grip,
