Ezekiel 21:8-10

• Israel’s indifference was marked by three things:

–Everything was mirth (fun) and sensuality!

–The prophets and preachers of that day were crying “peace, peace!”

–The House of God was no longer a house of prayer, but it was a house of dead religion!

“It was a time of great hardness of heart, a time of great indifference in the land of Israel.”

• There are several reasons for preaching judgment.

–First, It is in the Bible.

• I John 5:12
• Romans 6:23
• Acts 20:20
• Proverbs 16:6

This generation of preachers and religious people are taken up with a do-it-yourself religion

• Secondly, our Lord Jesus Christ himself taught about hell!

–Acts 5:3-4

–Matthew 5:22

–Matthew 10:28

–Matthew 23:33

–Mark 9:43-48

–Luke 16:22

• Let’s learn few things about hell

–Hell is a place of memory that causes the heart

• Luke 16:25

–Hell is a place of truth realized too late!

• Luke 16:28a

–Hell is a place of great suffering.

• Luke 16:28b

–Hell is a place of no return!

• Luke 16:26

–Hell is a place of unfulfilled lust!

Revelation 22:11

Everybody seems to be taken up with the fire in hell but that’s the least of our worries.

• The teaching of judgment and hell is based on three facts:

–God is holy, God is just, and God is righteous!

• Psalm 24:3-4

–Sin is a voluntary act!

–God spared not his own Son!

• Galatians 4:4-5
• John 13:1

It’s time to repent before the lights go out on the road to hell!
