  • There is no substitute for two things in preaching

–Sincerity

–Simplicity

Romans 9:2

There is no substitute for simplicity. Let’s preach so that people can understand what is said; though they may not believe it.

  • We need to preach in simplicity

–I don’t know whether you will ever repent or not but I do know this; except you repent you’ll perish!

–I don’t know if you will ever be born again but I do know this: “Except a man is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

  • We need to preach in simplicity

–I don’t know whether you will ever seek the Lord or not but I do know this: “they shall seek him and find him when they search for him with all their hearts.”

I do know that you will be found of the Lord when you search for Him with your heart, not just with your feet but with your heart.

–I don’t know whether you will ever be clothed in the righteousness of Christ or not! But I do know this; “Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.”

They were trying to get a holy, righteous God to accept them because of the deeds they had done.
