Blessed Assurance - Part 2

Introduction:

I think that our trouble is caused by one of four things.

1)We compare ourselves with giants in the Word of God!

2)We compare ourselves with giants in the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ.

3)We look for a full harvest of fruit on a very young tree!

4)We look for assurance and confidence somewhere other than the Word of God.

-There’s the root and then there’s the fruit!

-The root of grace is faith in Jesus Christ, faith in His Word.

-The fruit of grace is works, assurance and confidence.

Four important words in Ephesians 1:13

-First word, “You heard”

-Gospel of your salvation
