Behold, Thy King Cometh Unto Thee

INTRODUCTION
Zechariah 9:9
Three thoughts on why the Lord entered Jerusalem:
1) TO FULFILL THE SCRIPTURES ܐ ܼܹ̈ ܹܫ ܼ ܝܕܼܲܩ ܐ ܼܹ̈ ܹ ܼ ܒܵܬܟܕ ܐܹܬܡ ܼܲ ܡܼܲܬ ܐܵܩ
a. Zechariah 9:9 : ܛ ܐܝܪܟܼ ܙ 9
2) TO SHOW HE IS A KING ܐܵܟܠ ܼܲ ܡ ܐܹܠ ܼ ܝ ܘܲܗ
a. He came as a king riding on a donkey (Zechariah 9:9) : ܛ ܐܝܪܟܼ ܙ 9
b. What were the charges above his head on the cross? (Matthew 27:37) ܐ̈ܝ ܕܘ݉ : ܙܟ ܝܬܡ ܗܝܕ ܐܟܠܡ ܥܘܫܝ ܐܠܝ ܐܗܐ 37
3) TO SHOW HIS KINGDOM IS NOT AN EARTHLY ONE ܐܵܬܝܵܢ ܵܝܵܡܫܕ ܐܵܬ ܼ ܘܟܠ ܼܲܡ
“all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?” (Matthew 21:10)

WHO IS THIS KING THAT HAS COME TO US?
a. Some people had their own opinion in regards to this King.
Some said he is the Son of Joseph and Mary!
Some said he is the Son of the devil
Some said he is the Friend of Sinners
Some said he is John the Baptist and some said he is Elijah
b. Who is this king of glory? Psalm 24:8, 10 : ܕܟ ܐ̈ܖܘܡܙܡ 8 ، 10
c. Who is this that cometh from Eden? Isaiah 63:1 : ܓܣ ܐܝܥܫܐ 1
d. Who is he that even the winds obey him? Matthew 8:27 : ܚ ܝܬܡ 27
e. Who is this that can forgive sins? Luke 5:21 : ܗ ܐܩܘܠ 21
