Why did Jesus enter Jerusalem?

Three reasons why the Lord entered Jerusalem:

1)      To Fulfill the Scripturesܩܵܐ ܬܲܡܲܡܬܹܐ ܕܟܬܵܒܼܹ̈ܐ ܩܲܕܝܼܫܹ̈ܐ

§  Zechariah 9:9    ܙܟܼܪܝܐ ܛ : 9

2)      To show He is a King  ܗܿܘ ܝܼܠܹܐ ܡܲܠܟܵܐ

§  He came as a king riding on a donkey (Zechariah 9:9)     ܙܟܼܪܝܐ ܛ : 9

§  What were the charges above his head on the cross?

ܐܗܐ ܝܠܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܗ݉ܘܕܝ̈ܐ

o   Matthew 27:37     ܡܬܝ ܟܙ : 37

3)      To show his Kingdom is not an earthly one    ܡܲܠܟܘܼܬܵܐ ܕܫܡܵܝܵܢܵܝܬܵܐ  

§  “all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?”
