How did Christ defeat Satan?

1)      Enemy and his plan

a.       Satan is after that which belongs to God (vs. 1)

b.      Satan sends his best (Goliath)

-          I Samuel 17:4-7ܐ. ܫܡܘܐܝܠ ܝܙ:4 – 7 

Goliath has a helper that is carrying his shieldܛܵܥܢܵܢܵܐ ܕܡܵܛܵܠܵܐ

2)      David, Picture of Christ (I Samuel 17)

-          David was a shepherd (vs. 15 => John 10:11-15)

-          David fed the Father’ sheep in Beth-lehem (vs. 15 => John 6:48-51)

-          David was sent to the battlefield by his father (vs. 17 => I John 4:14)

-          David is sure he will win the battle
