Father’s Day Sermon – Wise Father

Introduction

Father’s should teach their sons from Proverbs

-          Proverbs 1:8, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, 4:10, 4:20, 5:1, 6:20, 7:1

                     ܡܬܠܐ ܐ:8، ܒ:1، ܓ:1، ܕ:1، ܕ:10، ܕ:20، ܗ:1، ܘ:20، ܙ:1  

What is the primary duty of a father?ܫܘܼܠܵܐ ܐܲܣܠܵܝܵܐ ܕܚܵܕ݉ܐ ܒܵܒܵܐ  

1)      Teach your son to fear your Godܡܵܠܸܦ ܙܕܘܼܥܬܵܐ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ

Everything starts with fearing God

-          Proverbs 1:7ܡܬܠܐ ܐ:7                           

-          Proverbs 9:10ܡܬܠܐ ܛ:10                      

2)      Teach your son to worship Godܡܵܠܸܦ ܠܸܣܓܼܵܕܵܐ ܠܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ

-          Proverbs 3:5-6ܡܬܠܐ ܓ:5 – 6                 

a)      Trust ܣܒܘܿܪ ܒܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܒܟܠܹܗ ܠܸܒܘܼܟܼ               

b)      Leanܠܦܲܪܡܵܝܬܘܼܟܼ ܠܵܐ ܣܵܒܢܕܸܬ                    

c)      Acknowledgeܒܟܠܵܝ ܐܘܼܖ̈ܚܵܬܘܼܟܼ ܝ݉ܕܥܝܼ ܠܹܗ     

3)      Teach your son to guard his mindܡܵܠܸܦ ܢܵܛܸܪ ܬܲܚܡܲܢܬܘܼܗܝ

-          Proverbs 3:3ܡܬܠܐ ܓ:3                             

a)      Mercyܫܵܦܵܩܲܬ             

b)      Truthܣܲܪܲܣܬܘܼܬܵܐ         

-          Proverbs 4:23ܡܬܠܐ ܕ:23
