True and False Conversion – Part 1

Introduction  

-          Luke 11:14-15ܠܘܩܐ ܝܐ:14 – 15 

Three powerful lessons taught in these versesܬܠܲܬ ܕܵܪܣ ܐܵܢܸܢܩܵܝܹܐ

1)      Our Lord of glory is never in league with Satan to accomplish his purpose (vs. 14-20)ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܠܹܐ ܦܲܠܸܚ ܡܼܢ ܣܵܛܵܢܵܐ

-          I John 3:8ܐ. ܝܘܚܢܢ ܓ:8

-          Luke 11:20ܠܘܩܐ ܝܐ:20

Christ never allies himself with Satan to accomplish his purpose.

-          II Corinthians 10:4-5ܒ. ܩܘܖ̈ܢܬܝܐ ܝ:4 – 5 

2)      Our Lord describes true conversion (vs. 21-22)ܫܘܚܠܵܦܵܐ ܬܪܘܼܨܵܐ

-          Who is the strong man? Satan. (vs. 21)ܙܲܪܒܵܢܵܐ

a)      Ask Jobܒܵܩܸܪ ܡܼܢ ܐܝܘܒܼ

b)      Ask Samsonܒܵܩܸܪ ܡܼܢ ܫܡܫܘܢ 

c)      Ask Solomonܒܵܩܸܪ ܡܼܢ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ

d)      Ask Peterܒܵܩܸܪ ܡܼܢ ܟܹܐܦܵܐ

e)      Ask Angel Michaelܒܵܩܸܪ ܡܼܢ ܡܝܼܟܼܐܝܠ ܪܹܫܵܐ ܕܡܲܠܲܐܟܼܹܐ 

-          What is he armed with? (vs. 21)ܟ̰ܵܟܹܐ (ܓ̰ܪ: 21)

-          What is the Palace that he keeps? (vs. 21)ܩܵܣܪܹܗ

a)      Ephesians 2:2-3ܐܦܣܝܐ ܒ:2 – 3  

Here is true conversion (vs. 22)ܫܘܼܚܠܵܦܵܐ (ܓ̰ܪ: 22)

-          Who is the stronger man? Christܐܢܵܫܵܐ ܒܘܼܫ ܙܲܪܒܵܢܵܐ

-          He (Christ) overcomes him (Satan).ܓܼܵܠܸܒ ܠܹܗ

-          He takes from Satan his armor wherein he trusted.

ܟܠܹܗ ܟ̰ܲܟܹܗ ܟܹܐ ܫܵܩܸܠ: ܗܿܘ ܕܝܼܗ݉ܘܵܐ ܒܗܹܒܼܝܼ ܥܲܠܘܼܗܝ

-          He divides his spoilܣܠܵܒܬܹܗ ܟܹܐ ܦܲܠܹܐ

3)      Our Lord describes false conversion (vs. 23-26)
