Moses’ Last Words: Song Of Praise

Introduction

-          Moses is giving his last words of instruction to the children of Israel

• Psalm 107:7ܡܙܡܘܖ̈ܐ ܩܙ:7
• Exodus 34:6-7ܡܦܩܢܐ ܠܕ:6 – 7

Three crucial points in Moses’ song of praise.

1)      Exalt the Lord Godwho has brought His people out of the Land of bondage.

-          Exalt the name of the Lord – Deuteronomy 32:1-3ܡܵܪܸܡ ܫܸܡܵܐ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ

o   Jehovah Asah, The Lord our maker (Psalm 95:6)ܡܙܡܘܖ̈ܐ ܨܗ:6 

o   Jehovah Jireh, The Lord will provide (Genesis 22:7-8)ܒܪܝܼܬܐ ܟܒ:7 – 8

o   Jehovah Rapha, The Lord that heals thee (Exodus 15:26)ܡܦܩܢܐ ܝܗ:26

o   Jehovah Nissi, The Lord our banner (Exodus 17:15)ܡܦܩܢܐ ܝܙ:15

o   Jehovah Shalom, The Lord our peace (Judges 6:2)ܕܝܢ̈ܐ ܘ:2

o   Jehovah Tsidkenu, The Lord our righteousness (Jeremiah 23:6)

o   Jehovah Shamma, The Lord is there (Ezekiel 48:35)ܚܙܩܝܐܝܠ ܕܚ:35

-          Our Lord is a great God – Deuteronomy 32:4ܬܢܝܢ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܠܒ:4

o   He is the Rock and His work is Perfectܗܿܘ ܒܢܘܿܫܘܼܗܝ ܩܵܝܵܐ ܝܼܠܹܐ ܘ ܬܡܵܡ

o   His ways are Judgementܣܵܒܵܒ ܕܟܿܠܵܝ ܐܘܼܖ̈ܚܵܬܘܼܗܝ ܕܝܼܘܵܢ ܝܼܢܵܐ

o   God of Truth without iniquityܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܕܡܗܘܼܡܢܘܼܬܵܐ ܘܕܠܵܐ ܥܵܘܠܵܐ

o   He is Just and He is Rightܙܲܕܝܼܩܵܐ ܘܫܲܪܝܼܪܵܐ

2)      Remind us of our God’s great goodness to usܛܵܒܼܘܼܬܵܐ ܕܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ

-          Remember his gracious work (vs. 5-6)ܬܟܼܘܿܪ ܫܵܦܵܩܲܬܘܼܗܝ (ܓ̰ܪ. 5، 6)

-          Remember the days of old (vs. 7-8)ܬܟܼܘܿܪ ܝܘܿܡܵܢܹ̈ܐ ܩܵܕܝܼܡܝܼ (ܓ̰ܪ. 7، 8) 

-          Remember you are chosen children (vs. 9)ܬܟܼܘܿܪ ܣܵܡܵܐ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܝܘܸܬ (ܓ̰ܪ. 9)

-          Remember where found you (vs. 10)ܩܲܡ ܡܵܟ̰ܸܚ ܠܹܗ ܓܵܘ ܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܒܲܪܝܼܵܐ (ܓ̰ܪ. 10)

o   Deuteronomy 8:15-16ܬܢܝܢ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܚ:15 16
