Introduction:

I)        Our lesson begins with Isaiah’s vision – Isaiah 6:1-5            ܐܫܥܝܐ ܘ : 1 – 5

o   Isaiah saw the Lordܚܙܹܠܝܼ ܠܡܵܪܝܵܐ   

o   Seraphims, messengers of the Lord, covered their faces, feet, and flew

ܣܖ̈ܵܦܹܐ ܒܸܟܠܵܝܵܐ ܥܸܠܹܠ ܡܸܢܹܗ ܒܬܪܲܝ ܟܹܐ ܟܵܣܹܐ ܗ݉ܘܵܐ ܦܵܬܘܼܗܝ: ܘܒܬܪܲܝ ܟܹܐ ܟܵܣܹܐ ܗ݉ܘܵܐ ܐܲܩܠܵܬܘܼ̈ܗܝ: ܘܒܬܪܲܝ ܟܹܐ ܦܵܪܹܚ ܗ݉ܘܵܐ

II)      What is the connection between death of the King and Isaiah’s vision?

o   II Chronicles 26:22ܒ. ܕܒܪܝܡܝܢ ܟܘ : 22   

o   Uzziah was a good King – II Chronicles 26:1-4ܒ. ܕܒܪܝܡܝܢ ܟܘ : 1 – 4  

o   He sought the Lord – II Chronicles 26:7-8ܒ. ܕܒܪܝܡܝܢ ܟܘ : 7 – 8  

o   He served the people - II Chronicles 26:10ܒ. ܕܒܪܝܡܝܢ ܟܘ : 10

III)    Isaiah learned from the death of Uzziah

b.       Men are sinners – Romans 3:10-12ܖ̈ܗܘܡܝܐ ܓ : 10 – 12    

c.        There is a way to God – Isaiah 45:20-25ܐܫܥܝܐ ܡܗ : 20 – 25 

d.       Christ is the way – John 14:6ܝܘܚܢܢ ܝܕ : 6   

IV)    The Old testament priests were pictures of Christ our great High Priest

o   Hebrews 10:19-22ܥܒܼܖ̈ܝܐ ܝ : 19-22
