Introduction

These are uncomfortable times. In modern times we have all come to know trouble in the world and we have our own trouble.

  • Ecclesiastes 2:18, 23ܩܘܗܠܬ ܒ:18، 23 

Some thoughts about the good things about the trouble

1)      God is in “the trouble”.ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܝܼܠܹܐ ܓܵܘ ܐܘܼܠܨܵܢܵܐ

  • Isaiah 46:10-11ܐܫܥܝܐ ܡܘ:10 – 11 
  • Lamentations 3:37-39 ܐܘܠܝ̈ܬܐ ܓ:37 – 39 

2)      God is hidden in it. We don’t know the specific purpose of God in what He does

  • Amos 3:7ܥܡܘܣ ܓ:7 
  • Isaiah 45:15ܐܫܥܝܐ ܡܗ:15 
  • Job 42:5-6ܐܝܘܒܼ ܡܒ:5 – 6

What then is to our good in a trial or in a trouble?ܛܵܒܼܬܵܐ ܓܵܘ ܐܘܼܠܨܵܢܵܐ

i)           Trouble tests the strength of our faith

ii)         Trouble comes to humble us

iii)       Trouble comes into our lives to wean us from the world

iv)       Trouble calls us to heavenly hope

v)         Trouble reveals what or who we really love

vi)       Trouble lets God put His glory on display
