What is the state of women in America?  Are mothers still the pride of this land?

Why Miriam is considered to be the mother of the Exodus?

1) She was prepared by God for a specific moment

6) Parallels between Mary, mother of Jesus and Miriam, sister of Moses

  • Both women were connected to great deliverers
  • Both women watched over these deliverers when as infants
  • Both women sang songs of praise to God
  • Both women were used by God in the unfolding of His plan of redemption.

Conclusion: Miriam is rightly regarded Mother of Exodus, not because of her own greatness, but because she rested in faith for years and years and years, and her faith was rewarded, and her hope was realized.
