Why did Jesus change to teaching in parables?
1) Parables were Judgmentܕܝܼܘܲܢ

They were designed to hide the truth. ܟܵܣܝܼ ܣܲܪܲܣܬܘܼܬܵܐ
- Isaiah 6:1-13ܐܫܥܝܐ ܘ:1 – 13

This is exactly what Jesus is saying, “I am now speaking in terms that they cannot understand.” This is a judgmentܠܝܼܕܲܥܝܵܐ ܣܸܖܹ̈ܐ ܕܡܲܠܟܘܼܬܵܐ ܕܫܡܲܝܵܐ.

There’s a mercy element in this judgment

If I keep giving truth to these people who reject it, it only increases their judgment.
3) How do we understand the parables?

All parables relate to the gospel and salvation.
- There is no parenting parables (Luke 15 – Prodigal Son)ܒܪܘܼܢܵܐ ܐܵܣܘܼܛܵܐ
- There is no social justice parables (Luke 10 – Good Samaritan)ܫܵܡܪܵܝܵܐ ܛܵܒܼܵܐ
