Jesus, the Alpha and the Omega

Introduction –

I want to share with you His Person from the Book of Revelation.ܦܲܪܨܘܿܦܘܼܗܝ

1) His three titles (vs. 5)ܫܘܼܡܵܗܵܐ، ܠܘܼܩܘܼܡ

• Faithful witness  ܗܿܘ ܣܵܗܕܵܐ ܡܗܘܼܡܢܵܐ (ܓܠܝܢܐ ܐ:5)

o   Isaiah 55:4, Psalm 89:37, John 18:37ܐܫܥܝܐ ܢܗ:4، ܡܙܡܘܖ̈ܐ ܦܛ:37، ܝܘܚܢܢ ܝܚ:37

• First begotten of the dead  ܗܿܘ ܒܘܼܟܼܪܵܐ ܕܡܝܼܬܹ̈ܐ (ܓܠܝܢܐ 1:5)
• The prince of the king of the earth  ܪܹܫܵܐ ܕܡܲܠܟܹ̈ܐ ܕܐܲܪܥܵܐ (ܓܠܝܢܐ ܐ:5)

o   Daniel 4:37, Matthew 2:2, John 1:49, I Timothy 1:17, Psalm 24:7, Revelation 15:3, 19:16ܕܢܝܐܝܠ ܕ:37، ܡܬܝ ܒ:2، ܝܘܚܢܢ ܐ:49، ܡܙܡܘܖ̈ܐ ܟܕ:7، ܓܠܝܢܐ ܝܗ:3، ܝܛ:16

2) His Work (vs. 5)ܦܘܼܠܚܵܢܘܼܗܝ (ܓ̰ܪ. 5) 

• His redemptive work (vs. 5)ܦܘܼܠܚܵܢܘܼܗܝ ܩܵܐ ܦܘܼܪܩܵܢܵܐ (ܓ̰ܪ. 5) 
• His transforming work (vs. 6)ܦܘܼܠܚܵܢܘܼܗܝ ܩܵܐ ܫܘܼܚܠܵܦܵܐ (ܓ̰ܪ. 6) 
• Great voice as of a trumpet (vs. 10)ܩܵܠܵܐ ܓܘܼܪܵܐ ܐܲܝܟܼ ܫܝܼܦܘܿܪܵܐ (ܓ̰ܪ. 10) 
• Christ ministering to His church (vs. 12-13)ܡܫܝܼܚܵܐ ܥܒܼܵܕܵܐ ܚܸܠܡܲܬ ܩܵܐ ܥܹܬܵܐ (ܓ̰ܪ. 12 -13)

3) His garments (vs. 13)ܠܒܼܸܫܬܘܼܗܝ (ܓ̰ܪ. 13) 

• Clothed with a garments “poderase” down to the footܠܒܼܸܫܬܵܐ ܗܲܠ ܐܲܩܠܵܐ:

o   Prophet, King and a Priestܢܒܼܝܼܵܐ، ܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܘܟܲܗܢܵܐ

4) His appearance (vs. 14-18)ܕܡܘܼܬܘܼܗܝ (ܓ̰ܪ. 14 -18) 

• His head and his hair were white (Daniel 7:9).ܪܹܫܹܗ ܘܣܲܥܪܵܐ ܕܝܼܹܗ ܚܘܵܖܹ̈ܐ ܗܘܵܘ
• His eyes were like a flame of fire.ܥܲܝܢܘܼ̈ܗܝ ܐܲܝܟܼ ܠܵܗܵܐ ܕܢܘܼܪܵܐ:

o   Hebrews 4:13-14, john 2:25ܥܒܼܖ̈ܝܐ ܕ:13 – 14، ܝܘܚܢܢ ܒ:25

• His feet like fine bronze as if they burned in a furnace (Revelation 10:1-2)

ܐܲܩܠܘܼ̈ܗܝ ܕܕܵܡܝܼ ܗ݉ܘܵܘ ܠܢܚܵܫܵܐ ܡܘܼܒܪܸܩܵܐ: ܐܲܝܟܼ ܕܨܘܼܪܸܦܵܐ ܓܵܘ ܐܲܬܘܿܢܵܐ (ܓܠܝܢܐ ܝ:1 – 2)

• His voice like a sound of many waters (vs. 15)ܩܵܠܹܗ ܐܲܝܟܼ ܩܵܠܵܐ ܕܡ̈ܝܼܵܐ ܪܵܒܵܐ (ܓ̰ܪ. 15)
• Out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword (vs. 16)
• ܡܼܢ ܦܘܼܡܹܗ ܣܲܝܦܵܐ ܚܵܪܝܼܦܵܐ ܕܬܪܲܝ ܦܘܼܡܵܢܹ̈ܐ ܒܸܦܠܵܛܵܐ (ܓ̰ܪ. 16)
• His countenance was as the sun shineth in its strength (vs. 16)
• ܦܵܬܹܗ ܐܲܝܟܼ ܫܸܡܫܵܐ ܒܲܗ݉ܪܘܼܢܹܐ ܒܚܲܝܠܹܗ (ܓ̰ܪ. 16).
