This man doesn’t have any interest in a true evaluation of his condition. 

This man is self righteous

He doesn’t think about his relationship to God

This is a lost man

Jesus could have walked away, but He did not

The purpose of this story is to crush his self righteousness – shatter his pride

This is not a simple story about kindness

How do you evangelize a religious person?

Priest has no love for the man and no love for God
