People who missed the first Christmas – Part 3

Many people missed the first Christmas:

1)The Innkeeper missed Christmas

–He missed it because of Pre-occupation

2)Herod missed Christmas

–He missed it because of fear.

Religious activity is not synonymous with genuine righteousness.

Many people missed the first Christmas:

3)Religious leaders missed Christmas

–They missed it because of indifference, they did not care; the root of it is pride

4)Entire City of Jerusalem missed Christmas

–Jerusalem missed it because of religion.

Many people missed the first Christmas:

5)Rome missed Christmas

–Luke 2:1

–Roman soldiers missed Christmas because of idolatry

6)Nazareth missed Christmas

–John 1:46

–Luke 4:16-30

–Luke 4:22-30

–John 1:11

–Mark 6:6

–Nazareth missed Christmas because of Familiarity

An entire nation missed Christmas. All of Rome could have shared in the Savior’s birth, but they missed it.  

You don’t have to miss another one.

If you truly love the Lord, Don’t lose sight of what and Whom you’re celebrating.
